Wow, it's been soooo long since I have last posted on this thing. SMH!! I gotta get back into the convo! Well then...let's begin, shall we!?!
This weekend was overall an awesome weekend; I got to spend some time with my boyfriend, we went to our first comedy show together to see Arnez J (one of the funniest people alive lol), we saw family and friends, and we got to eat some good food along the way. :-) Arnez J had us laughing so hard 'til our sides hurt, and our cheekbones felt as if they were going to fall off! I appreciated the laughter and the good times we had during that hour-and-a-half of the show. It is truly a gift to be able to bring laughter and joy into people's lives, and to consistently do that every time you tell a story is incredible. I was amazed at how funny something so simple could be; it just depends on how the storyteller expresses it. I had not laughed like that in a long time, and my goodness! It felt wonderful! First comedy show experience was a huge success; I can't wait to experience more!
On another note, my family is such a trip, too! I have some comedians in my family, too, I swear lol. After the show, my boyfriend and I visited some of my family members; we shared more hugs, laughs, and stories. We became exhausted merely from laughing so hard throughout the day, but it really showed me how important family is. Basically, to put it simply-- family is all you got! Many of us are Blessed to always have a group of people who love us, care about us, and who are there for us whenever we need them most. It is truly a Blessing to have those kinds of people in our lives. Today, some of the family came over to spend time together at our house; my mom cooked a meal, we all get to watch football, and we will spend the night away as we did last night-- sharing funny stories, laughter, and lots of love!
I'm Blessed to have so many great people in my life, whether I spent the weekend with them or not. I just appreciate the love and support that surrounds me each and every day. If you have any favorite family moments, please feel free to post them! It will not only make you smile from the memories, but it just might make someone else's day, too! A smile and a laugh goes a long way, and it doesn't always have to come from a comedian...but it sure as heck speeds up the process! :-)
